Withdraw

Withdraw

How it works

  1. Open your position and choose withdraw.
  2. If your funds are currently placed in a venue, they are unwound first.
  3. Confirm in your wallet.

How long it takes

Unwinding is usually one block, around a second on GIWA. If you are in the shared vault, an exit is not delayed by the timelock. The timelock applies to increasing what Heron is allowed to do, not to you leaving.

Without Heron

The exit path is designed not to need us, and that design is checked: the withdrawal code and everything it imports touch no Heron service, no API of ours, and no key of ours. It is written against the published contract interface and a public network endpoint, and it reads the account owner from the chain rather than from us.

⛔ What that check does not prove is that a withdrawal succeeds. It reads the code, it does not run it. No such withdrawal has been executed end to end, so treat the independence as designed-for and verified on paper, not demonstrated.

The case where it does not hold

If the service that holds your key is unavailable, you cannot sign, and your account has a single owner. That is a lockout, not an inconvenience. No property of the exit path helps you there.

This was decided deliberately and written down at design time rather than discovered later, but it is a real limit and it is yours to weigh.

What is not finished

The unwind itself is built. The automatic trigger that starts it in every case is not, and it is listed as an open gap in our internal notes. We would rather say so here than let this page read as more finished than the system is.
